About
Everyone has a story. Take a moment to ask, and suddenly, you’re immersed in their world, learning about life through that person’s eyes, getting a front-row seat to their unique experiences and worldview. This is what fuels the heart of Wild Wind Productions: passionate people, their inspiring art and their infinite stories.
Wild Wind Productions is an independent production company that specializes in behind-the-scenes features, documentaries, live music performances, comprehensive tour and festival coverage, social impact videos that create awareness and shift policies, original on-air productions and dynamic digital content for a variety of platforms.
From that very first spark of an idea to development to creation to completion, we’ll take the reins of every aspect of production. We’re the architects of documentaries that capture the essence of their subjects. We seamlessly integrate into scripted teams, adding depth to a television series by providing compelling behind-the-scenes content. We’ll hop on a bus and journey alongside bands, covering tours and festivals intimately, and we’ll elevate live performances by adding unique twists.
Wild Wind Productions isn’t your typical production company; we’re a vibrant creative hub dedicated to crafting captivating narratives with talented freelance producers, editors, animators, production managers, graphic designers, audio engineers and camera operators who are outsourced on an as-needed basis depending upon the specific size and scope of each individual project. Their talents harmonize, flexibly adapting to the dimensions and ambitions of each project.
Denise Korycki, the driving force behind Wild Wind Productions, is fully at the helm. We are based out of Brooklyn, NY and our diverse and authentic approach to production breathes life, spirit and heart into any project or story we’re entrusted with around the globe.
Allow us to see the world through your eyes…
DENISE KORYCKI’S BIO
I love my job. You’d lose count of how often I’ve said those words, whether it’s on the hush of a bustling set or bellowed from a rooftop in Malta. With over 25 countries under my belt and a trip to almost every state in the US (one left to go!), I I’ve been on an incredible journey capturing stories worldwide as a director, producer and editor.
I’ve managed and led teams across the entire production spectrum, from pre to post (and everything in between) as a series producer for network television. I’ve directed a nunchuck-wielding gnome and a horse galloping through the forests of New Zealand. I’ve been hunched over a laptop in a grassy field editing lightning-fast packages while Stevie Wonder soulfully sings only a stone’s throw away on the main stage of a music festival. I’ve traveled to Fortaleza, Brazil as part of the Operation Smile team to capture the life-changing moments of children undergoing cleft surgeries. I’ve been welcomed into a multitude of homes and tight-knit spaces to document the personal journeys of band members. I’ve interviewed Ozzy (four times)! I’ve lugged camera gear around the world from Slovenia to Sweden, from Turkey to Canada (and everywhere in between) embracing the role as a “one-(wo)man band” – directing, producing, shooting and doing sound. I’ve directed and shot multi-camera live shows with over a dozen professional cameras for an array of bands, cleverly hiding additional cameras in onstage props or enlisting present and former road crew members to shoot from their perspective (aka “roadie cam). Oh, and I also directed and edited a Nirvana performance in a cozy 250-capacity room for a secret show after their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame appearance!
I can’t wait to dive in and experience what’s next!
